2:00 A.M. Saturday Morn

I’m struggling for points of commonality
where differences meet on the drawing board
and likenesses flourish in content & meaning
targeting questions with multiple solutions
none either right or wrong, taken out of context

In a picture-perfect society of drones
there’s no place I’d like to call home
for I thrive on challenge
and that alone gives rise to action
commonly held as idle distraction
facing problems with gusto
in small bites until satisfied by results

My reasoning defies logic, sometimes toxic
facing alternatives, making tough choices
searching for clues what to do, or what not to
and to what end in the end, my fair-weather friend
