Case In Point

Freshly fired-up freedom fighters
frequently fixated on failures foregone,
treating today like there’ll be no tomorrow
without dominance & diabolical determination,
self-asserting singular responsibility or gain
prompting pleasurable repositioning of one’s art
in recognition of troubled incongruities born of jest
shaped into harmless implements of silent anger
working miracles out of stress & belonging
trusting nothing & no one beyond
simple acts of suspicion
