Saving the Best for Last

My tolerances challenged
the doctor prescribed bedrest
until the returning light
makes things ripe
with intent to right the wrongs
of years gone by in denial

Dropping anchor
at a welcoming port of approval
delivered into compassionate & loving arms
never abandoning me in hardest of times
fulfilling my essential needs unquestioning
leaving me deeply devoted to you
placing my heart in the capable hands of fate
