Addressing Disproportionate Imperfection

Faking responsibility for the state I’m in
– loosely strung, despondent, grief-stricken –
going to extremes, working with faulty wiring

Feeling cheated by life, yet unyielding
giving credit where credit is due
temperature rising, feeling inconsolable

A life sans purpose is shallow in depth
– one may not drown but neither can he float –
tongue-tied, withdrawn, sitting at a table for one

Select someone to officiate & someone to keep notes
one to issue strategic commands & give voice to demands
planning the upheaval of insensible, flawed logic
